about

Sometimes life sucks, and rather than have someone tell you that "everything is going to be alright", you need them to tell you instead that they understand what you're going through.

Time heals all wounds. It's true. Some wounds take longer than others, and some scars never quite go away, but when it seems as if the sun is never going to shine, hang tight and wait out the darkness. The sun will come out eventually.

lyrics

Wait For the Sun

Oh, what a sky, with its clouds of dark gray
A sun that’s unwilling to shine
Oh, what a day for the words that you say
Oh, what a time for goodbye

CHORUS:
It’s all about waiting
And right now I’m waiting for comfort to come
It’s all about waiting
And right now I’ll wait for the sun

Books on the shelf filled with stories of love
While images dance on the screen
A moment’s distraction is all that they offer
The truth always waits in between

CHORUS

Into the light like a spot on an apple
Silent and swift as a prayer in a chapel
This is the moment that always cuts deepest of all

There’s no consolation in seeing it come
No way to hide in the dark
Like tearing a bandage, the quicker it’s done
The sooner the healing can start

CHORUS

Singer/Songwriter/Pianist/Producer/Engineer and many more things to many more people, Allister still can't decide what he wants to be when he grows up. His music can perhaps be described as modern folk, since it contains rich storytelling and imagery, but it might be mistaken for Smooth Jazz, Roots or AC. You decide.

Any way you describe it, Allister's music will reach deep within and satisfy
